The Greater Pikesville Recreation Council, Inc. is offering Discovery Pre-K as well as Before & After School Day Care for School Age Children programs for the 2024-2025 school year at Winand Elementary School.
Certified 90 hour staff offer structured Hands-On Learning, Science, Computer Lab, Games, Music, Creative Art, Nature, Homework Lab, Special Events, Sports and more. This innovative program runs in conjunction with the current Baltimore County Board of Education curriculum. Nutritional snacks are provided each afternoon.
Discovery uses a 9 payment schedule with the non-refundable deposit paying for the last payment (May #9)

Program Dates
The Discovery program follows the Baltimore County Public Schools calendar. The dates listed on the registration reflect the payment dates, September through May.
General Information
- Space is limited to 15 students per class. Registrations are first-come first-serve basis.
- Once the size limit is reached, the program will be closed and a waiting list will be maintained.
- Our ratio is 1 adult for 10 students.
- The Baltimore County Public School Calendar will be followed with regards to holidays and weather closings with some modifications.
- Acceptance is predicated upon the receipt of registration, medical forms, immunization form, and emergency contact information.
- To be eligible for this program, children must be toilet trained and not exhibit disciplinary problems.
- School starts Monday, August 26, 2024.
